Suspect Arrested In August 2016 Murder Case Of 19-Year-Old Lockhart Woman

The body of Emilia Marie Juarez was recovered from a Caldwell County field around 6:48 a.m. on August 11, 2016.

Last week, Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest in the August 2016 murder of a 19-year-old Lockhart woman.

The victim’s, Emilia Juarez, body was found in a Caldwell County field on August 11, 2016. The body was recovered roughly 200 yards from FM 2720 on Jolly Road.

After a seven-month long investigation, Caldwell County Sheriff’s office served a warrant on Saturday for 32-year-old Rudy Herrera Jr

Texas Rangers and Caldwell County detectives said the evidence collected from the scene and many interviews led to Herrera’s arrest.

The victim’s cause of death has not been release, but officials offered a $2,000 reward for information in Juarez’s case.
