A Week At A Glance: First Week Back With SMCISD Students

San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District is making strides to engage its students in learning every day.

San Marcos CISD has nearly 8,000 students enrolled between its high school, two middle schools and six elementary schools according to the district’s website. 

Every school year, community partners lay the foundation of success for SMCISD students, and the district says they are thankful for their ongoing support of our students and staff!

The SMHS Basketball Booster Club is hosting a meet and greet for Head Coach Steven Pinchback and his staff tonight at 6:30 PM inside the SMHS Student Activity Center.

San Marcos HS students were excited to pick up their very own laptop provided by the district. A huge ‘thank you’ to the San Marcos CISD Board of Trustees for providing a laptop to every secondary student in SMCISD.

Former SMHS vet intern and Rattler graduate Homero Roman is training SMHS vet interns Regan Sproull and Jillian Sanchez at the San Marcos Vet Clinic. Homero earned his veterinary assistance certification through the SMHS Veterinary Medical Applications program and is now guiding the two students to accomplish the same task.

SMCISD Campuses celebrated and honored the district’s grandparents on September 6 bringing grandparents into the classrooms and cafeterias to spend time with their favorite SMCISD students.

San Marcos HS boys soccer player Melvin Molina was recently awarded 1st Team All-Region. The San Marcos HS forward earned the award as a sophomore last year for his season-performance that included 21 goals and 11 assists. 

The San Marcos Fire Department began their elementary Fire Safety Clown Show Tour today at De Zavala Elementary. SMCISD partnered with SMFD to create a unique way to teach students about the importance of fire safety.
