Austin & Central Texas Region GOOD GOOD GOOD

THURSDAY 10/31/2019
Very light winds, abundant sunshine, and a slight increase in incoming background levels could be enough for ozone to possibly reach the upper end of the “Good” range (perhaps with an isolated low “Moderate” or two) in parts of the El Paso area, with highest concentrations in the afternoon and early evening.

Very light winds, cold temperatures, and limited vertical mixing could be enough for urban fine particulate to build up over portions of far West Texas, possibly raising the daily PM2.5 AQI to the lower end of the “Moderate” range in parts of the El Paso area, with highest concentrations beginning in the evening.

Elsewhere in the state, moderate to strong winds, cold temperatures, lingering cloud cover, and/or lower incoming background levels should help keep air quality in the “Good” range in most spots.

FRIDAY 11/1/2019
Very light winds, cold temperatures, and limited vertical mixing could be enough for urban fine particulate to build up over portions of far West Texas, possibly raising the daily PM2.5 AQI to the lower to middle end of the “Moderate” range and the daily PM10 AQI to the upper end of the “Good” range (perhaps with an isolated low “Moderate” or two) in parts of the El Paso area, with highest concentrations in the morning and evening.

Elsewhere in the state, moderate to strong winds, cold temperatures, and/or lower incoming background levels should help keep air quality in the “Good” range in most spots.

SATURDAY 11/2/2019
Moderate winds, cold temperatures, increased cloud cover, and/or low incoming background levels should help keep air quality in the “Good” range in most spots statewide.
