Breaking: San Marcos Police Department Searching For Missing Child

The San Marcos Police Department is searching for a missing 12-year-old girl, Jaidyn Amiot, who was last seen on January 14, 2019.

According to the City of San Marcos, the case is still active and is being investigated by Richie Prado, Juvenile Investigator.

Amiot was last seen in the area of Mill St. near Copper Beech Apartments. She was being transported from Austin thru San Marcos to a treatment facility in Canyon Lake when she went missing.

According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited children, Amiot is described as Biracial, Hispanic and white, with brown hair and brown eyes. She is approximately 5’5” and 150 lbs.


SMPD describes her as having “long black hair that is shaved in the back. She was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, black-shirt, blue jeans and white/pink slides with black socks.”

Officials said it is unknown, at this time, where Amoit is from originally. Anyone with information should contact SMPD at 512.753.2108.
