City of San Marcos Offices Closed Due to Flooding

Emergency Services and Utility Staff in Operation

City of San Marcos offices are closed on Friday due to heavy rain and flooding, including City Hall, Parks and Recreation offices, Passports, Municipal Court, and WIC.

The San Marcos Activity Center and the San Marcos Public Library are open, but all other non-emergency services offices are closed to the public.

“We want to encourage people to stay home and off the roadways,” said City Manager Jared Miller. “The San Marcos Public Library and the San Marcos Activity Center are open in case people who are passing through need a place to stop and wait for driving conditions to improve.”

Essential personnel, including emergency services (police and fire) and utility workers are on duty and available to respond to emergencies and utility failures.

To report emergencies, call 911. To report electrical or water/wastewater outages, call 512.393.8313 (electric) or 512.393.8010.
