Travis County To Borrow $4.9M For Road Projects

The projects are considered priority by the citizen’s bond advisory committee, said Aerin-Renee Pfaffenberger, senior planning and budget analyst for the county.

Travis County Commissioners approved a resolution to allow the county to borrow $4.9 million from existing certificates of obligation to begin work on some of the road and other projects included in a November 2017 bond election. The road projects include widening Elroy Road, Great Divide Drive at Little Barton Creek, Linden Road and Ross Road North in Precinct 4.

The projects are considered priority by the citizen’s bond advisory committee, said Aerin-Renee Pfaffenberger, senior planning and budget analyst for the county. The goal is to issue a request for qualifications from contractors to begin work on the projects within a few months. The Precinct 4 projects can be viewed here.
