Craddock Median Work To Begin

Lanes will only be closed near active work areas, and closures will be marked with traffic cones, barriers, and signs.

Work begins Monday on a Community Enhancement project to overhaul the medians on Craddock Avenue, which will add native plants and decorative stonework.

During the project, motorists can expect lane closures on Craddock Avenue between Old Ranch Road 12 and Bishop Street weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.  Lanes will only be closed near active work areas, and closures will be marked with traffic cones, barriers, and signs.

The project is expected to be complete by Sept. 30.  For the first three weeks, crews will be excavating the medians in preparation for the installation of hardscape, soil, irrigation, and plant material.

The project consists of more than 23,000 square feet of plantings and stonework at a cost of $262,847 from the Community Enhancement Fund.
