City To Host Open House On Accessibility In San Marcos

The ADA Coordinator for the City of San Marcos will present the City’s 2018 Transition Plan, which outlines priorities for ADA compliance upgrades to City facilities.

The City of San Marcos invites the public to a workshop on March 8 at 5 p.m. at the San Marcos Activity Center Room 1, 501 E. Hopkins.

Residents will have the opportunity to give their input on how to make San Marcos more accessible to people with disabilities.

The ADA Coordinator for the City of San Marcos will present the City’s 2018 Transition Plan, which outlines priorities for ADA compliance upgrades to City facilities.

City departments including Transportation, Engineering, Transit, Planning, Facilities, and the San Marcos Police Department will be on hand to receive input from citizens with disabilities or family members of those with disabilities for help in this effort.

Past outreach has helped shape the City’s sidewalk plan, which guides the City’s ongoing work to upgrade and repair sidewalks and make them more accessible to people with disabilities.
