It seems like every week a new milestone hits the headlines for the State of Texas. Number one state for business 13 straight years. Record low unemployment rate of 3.9%. Hundreds of thousands moving here every year.

These accolades are more than just trophies. They represent the hope of a bright future for each and every hard-working Texan. They are symbols of the unparalleled prosperity and opportunity the Lone Star State has to offer.

It’s no secret that the “Texas model” of limited government, low taxes, and low regulations works. Even Congress, which just passed historic tax cuts, is starting to notice.

That’s why I’m running for Congress: to take the Texas model to Washington, D.C., and to “Make America Like Texas.”

Since I was elected to the Texas Legislature in 2010, I’ve dedicated myself to the conservative principles of limited government: championing a 25% margins tax cut, defending our Second Amendment rights, increasing the homestead exemption to reduce property taxes, fighting to secure the border, and repealing burdensome regulations. I founded the Hill Country Caucus to bring our community together and was named a Courageous Conservative for my voting record every session.

We need our federal government to follow in Texas’ footsteps, to do a few things and do them well: secure the border, protect our constitutional rights, keep our country safe, and stop wasting hard earned taxpayer dollars. It is time to put Washington D.C. on the Dave Ramsey plan.

For too long, the federal government has ignored the Constitution’s limits on its power, taxing and spending far beyond what our Founders envisioned and what our wallets can bear.

It’s time to send proven, principled conservative leaders to the U.S. Capitol to fight to keep the heavy hand of government out of our lives and our pocketbooks. As the next congressman for District 21, I’ll fight to move the conservative agenda forward in the U.S. Congress, just like I have in the Texas House.

Rep. Isaac is seeking election to replace retiring Congressman Lamar Smith in Congressional District 21, representing Bandera, Bexar, Blanco, Comal, Gillespie, Hays, Kendall, Kerr, Real, and Travis counties.

Currently Isaac represents Hays and Blanco counties in the Texas House, where he is consistently honored as a “Courageous Conservative” by the Texas Conservative Coalition and was named “Legislator of the Year” by the Texas State Rifle Association for his leadership in defense of the Second Amendment.
