Independence Day Holiday, City offices, including City Hall, Utility Offices, Nature Center, Municipal Court, Library and Activity Center will be closed.) Rio Vista Swimming Pool will be open from 12 noon – 6 p.m. ($2 kids, $3 adults) Texas Disposal Systems will operate its usual Friday residential trash and recycling collection routes and bulk pick up.
SummerFest! July 4 Celebration at San Marcos Plaza Park on the River, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., FREE Admission. Live music, children’s patriotic costume parade, patriotic program, fireworks display at 9:30 p.m., Parking at City Library, Activity Center and Strahan Coliseum Parking Lot. The City is participating in a HUD program that joins city officials, staff and community stakeholders with federal and state agencies that can assist the community with identifying local priorities and establishing goals to meet community needs (not specifically related to disaster recovery).
