Traffic Advisory: SH 71 Closures Along Westbound SH 71
Starting on Saturday, Oct. 29, at 7 p.m., full closures of various side streets along westbound SH 71 will go into effect. Please see the attached map for details regarding the closures and detour routes.

Fallwell Lane
- Full closure of Fallwell Lane at westbound SH 71
- Closure will last approximately six weeks
- Drivers coming from Fallwell Lane to east or westbound SH 71 will be detoured to the southbound SH 130 frontage road; drivers coming from east and westbound SH 71 will be detoured to the northbound SH 130 frontage road (Note: there are no tolls for this detour)
Bessie Avenue
- Full closure of Bessie Avenue at westbound SH 71
- Closure will last approximately six weeks
- Drivers will be detoured to FM 973 then to Eva Street
FM 973
- Full closure of FM 973 north at westbound SH 71
- Closure will last three days
- Drivers will be detoured to US 183 and FM 969
Royster Avenue
- Full closure of Royster Avenue at westbound SH 71
- Closure will last approximately six weeks
- Drivers will be detoured to FM 973 then to Eva Street
Road signs have been placed to alert drivers of the closure. Motorists should allow extra time to travel through this area during the affected hours. TxDOT asks the traveling public to be patient and remain aware when traveling through the work zone.
