Gary Job Corps Honors Fallen Heroes On Memorial Day With Kyle VFW, GJCC Security Cadet Becomes A Marine

Job Corps is a no-cost education and career technical training program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor that helps young people ages 16 to 24 improve the quality of their lives through career technical and academic training.

Gary Job Corps Security Cadet joins the United States Marine Corps

Gary Job Corps Center’s Security Cadet Colin Rolike has enlisted in the Marine Corps and will start his military career once completing this security trade.

Memorial Day at the Kyle VFW

Starting the Memorial Day event at the Kyle VFW, Boy Scout Troop 815 rose the flag. The guest speaker, CSM Lawrence Wilson, Senior Enlisted member of the unit that captured Saddam Hussein, spoke of his fallen comrades and why Americans have Memorial Day. Names of local fallen veterans were spoken and the Gary Job Corps Center’s Color Guard presented the 21 gun salute while Taps was played.

City of Martindale Presents Appreciation Award

Martindale Mayor Robert Devinell and Chief of Police Harry Juergens presents Randolph Goodman, Business Community Liaison of the Gary Job Corps Center an award of appreciation for his service and dedication to the City of Martindale after 26 years of service to our community.
