Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office Find Body In San Marcos Suspected To Be Connected To Double Murder Case

On February 11th, 53-year-old Richard James Logan of Sugar Land, Texas was found deceased via a single gunshot wound at TAS Environmental, located at 101 Dandelion Trail, San Marcos, Guadalupe County, Texas.

According to officials, Logan was not an employee of TAS Environmental or otherwise affiliated with the company. An autopsy has been ordered.

Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Official said the initial investigation has revealed that Richard Logan’s death is related to an ongoing investigation in Sugar Land, Texas.

According to Sugar Land Police Department, the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office contacted SLPD this morning to report a Sugar Land man was found dead in their jurisdiction from what appeared to be a suicide.

SLPD attempted to notify his wife who lives on Evening Light Drive.

After several unsuccessful attempts, a family member contacted a neighbor who provided police access into the house.

An adult female and an 11-year-old boy were located inside. Both had died of gunshot wounds. The woman was identified as Diana Lynn Logan.

According to the police, Richard and Diana were the married parents of the 11-year-old boy. All three lived at the house.

Police are investigating the possibility that the suicide in Guadalupe County may be related to the double homicide in Sugar Land.

The investigation is ongoing.

The Sugar Land Police Department is in the Greatwood Subdivision in the area of Evening Light conducting an investigation.

Officials said this appears to be an isolated incident and no threat to the surrounding area.

The Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office is working with the Sugar Land Police Department and will release further details in the near future as our respective investigations progress.
