HAYS COUNTY  — Due to expected inclement weather, all non-essential Hays County offices will be closed Thursday and Friday, Feb. 3-4, 2022.

Department Heads and Elected Officials will determine which essential services must continue operating during this closure and instruct their staff accordingly.

“As the safety of all Hays County residents is our top priority, we will be opening our Emergency Operation Center at midnight,” said Hays County Judge Ruben Becerra.

The county urges residents to take steps to be prepared for multiple days of extremely cold temperatures mixed with rain. You can find winter weather preparedness tips on haysinformed.com.

In addition to freezing temps, area road conditions may be hazardous. Use extreme caution if you must travel. Hays County road crews are standing by to help mitigate icy conditions on county roads.
