City Of San Marcos Seeks Resident Comments For Disaster Relief Plan

The City of San Marcos is seeking comments from residents on an action plan that will guide officials in the allocation of a $25 million federal disaster recovery grant.

“Citizen input and comment are vital parts of this process,” said Assistant City Manager Collette Jameson. “The information we gather from the public will guide the City as it designs flood recovery programs and projects.”

The CDBG Disaster Recovery Action Plan will be available for review at www.smtxfloodrecovery.com/comment for public comment Aug. 19 – Sept. 2. A link on that page allows residents to enter their comments and responses to the plan.

The City Council will review the comments and make recommendations at the Sept. 6 City Council meeting, and the Action Plan will be submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Sept. 8.
