City of San Marcos has contracted to remove fallen limbs, trees and other plant material blown down on residents’ property by Hurricane Harvey

The City has contracted with KDF Enterprises to remove fallen limbs, trees and other plant material blown down on residents’ property by Hurricane Harvey.

  • Residents are asked to place debris on the curb or in city right-of-way, making sure it does not impede traffic.
  • Debris removal personnel cannot go onto private land to pick up debris; it must be accessible from the road.
  • Debris should not be placed on or near utility boxes, mailboxes or storm drainage areas.

Lumber, household and demolition debris and household hazardous waste are not being picked up curbside by the contractor.

This removal process will take at least two weeks. If there is more debris after the first round, it will be removed as soon as your area is scheduled for another removal. City staff will be scouting out areas where debris is piling up to let removal experts know where to go.
