UPDATED: Major Accident Causes Closure Of I-35’s Northbound Lanes Through SMTX

I-35 NB is fully open to traffic.

UPDATE 4:57 PM:

All lanes of I-35 NB at exit 205 B remain closed as Texas Department of Public Safety investigates an earlier accident.

Please find alternate routes and avoid the area. Officials said they will provide updates as they have more information.

Northbound traffic is at a standstill through San Marcos after a major crash this afternoon.

All northbound lanes on I-35 at Exit 205B have been closed while emergency officials tend to the scene of the accident.

Officials said the accident is a “major” and has asked drivers to find alternative routes if possible.
