Officials Cancel Sights & Sounds Of Christmas Festival Friday Due To Weather

The festival will reopen this Saturday, Dec. 8 at 5 p.m. The annual Sights & Sounds of Christmas 5K and Kids K Jingle Bell Run will also occur as scheduled on the morning of Dec. 8.

The Sights & Sounds of Christmas Festival has been canceled for Friday, Dec. 7, due to inclement weather and safety concerns.

The festival was scheduled to be open this evening from 5-11 p.m. but all planned activities, including the carnival, entertainment, photos with Santa, food vendors and gift shop will be closed.

The festival will reopen this Saturday, Dec. 8 at 5 p.m. The annual Sights & Sounds of Christmas 5K and Kids K Jingle Bell Run will also occur as scheduled on the morning of Dec. 8.

Heroes Night, featuring free admission for all first responders, police, fire, EMS, active duty military and veterans in uniform or with an ID, will be moved to Saturday evening.
