Patio Events to benefit San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter

The San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter (SMRAS) will participate in and benefit from two upcoming events hosted at local businesses. Torchy’s Tacos, 301 N Guadalupe Street, will host Pups on the Patio Thursday, May 13. Puppies on the Patio will be held at EVO Entertainment’s, 1180 Thorpe Lane, on Thursday, May 20.
A handful of puppies and some dogs will be available for adoption at the Torchy’s Tacos event. The restaurant will donate 15% of sales to the shelter when customers mention SMRAS while ordering between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
A week later, EVO Entertainment will welcome customers to Puppies on the Patio. Gamecards will be available for $10 each with all of the proceeds from gamecard sales going to the SMRAS. A variety of discounts will be offered from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., including half-price bowling and free table games. SMRAS will have puppies and dogs available for adoption.
“We are so excited to get back into the community for our summer adoption events,” said Program Coordinator Maria Rangel. “We look forward to working with Torchy’s Tacos and EVO Entertainment to bring our wonderful, adoptable pets straight to you!”
Adoption fees for all SMRAS pets are $97 and include spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations and medications, current flea, tick and heartworm prevention, a microchip, vet exam, and 30 days of free pet health insurance.
