San Marcos Announces Return Of Neighborhood All-Star Games

Neighborhood teams must have at least eight people, including two children under 12 and one adult over 65.

The San Marcos Neighborhood All-Star Games (SNAG) are coming back after taking a short break on Sept. 22 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Rio Vista Park.

This old-fashioned, neighborhood-vs-neighborhood field day will feature tug-o-war, corn hole, putt-putt golf, dominoes, giant connect four, giant checkers, pie eating, and various relays.

“We are excited to bring back this fun event to bring our community together with a little friendly competition,” said Jennifer Mach, Special Events and Marketing Coordinator.

Neighborhood teams must have at least eight people, including two children under 12 and one adult over 65. Neighborhoods can have more than one team, but individual participants are only allowed on one team. Registration is $25 per team.

After the competition, there will be an awards ceremony and lunch sponsored by Grande Communications. The winners of the competition, as well as teams with the most spirit and best costume, will be announced.

Entry forms can be found online at www.sanmarcostx.gov/fallevents.
