AAC Waiving Adoption Fees For Black FURiday

Austin Animal Center will be waiving adoption fees from November 29 through December 1 for their Black FURiday adoption event. All animals currently living at the shelter will be eligible for waived fee adoptions.
 
AAC will open early on Black Friday, November 29, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., with regular operating hours on Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. – 7 p.m
 
A day known for stellar deals, the Black Friday weekend is the perfect time to adopt a new furry friend.

“This time of year, people tend to have some extra time off work which can be great for helping your new pet adjust to the home and get some quality bonding time in those first few days”, said Jennifer Olohan, communications and media program manager for AAC.
 
AAC is currently overcapacity, which means there are more than 800 dogs and cats in need of forever homes. “Most of these animals will spend Thanksgiving alone in their kennel this week.

By doing events like Black FURiday, we’re trying our hardest to make sure they get to spend the next holiday with their new family”, said Olohan.
