San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter Has Banner Month, Challenges Community To Keep It Going

“We have about 60 sponsored adoptions left, so we’re challenging the community to rally around our shelter animals and provide them with loving forever homes,” said Animal Services Manager Kara Montiel.

The San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter is having a banner month for animal adoptions, but it will take public support to keep the momentum going.

So far this month, the shelter has adopted out 87 dogs and cats thanks in part to $1 adoptions in October and a Guardian Angel who has sponsored 100 adoptions.

“We have about 60 sponsored adoptions left, so we’re challenging the community to rally around our shelter animals and provide them with loving forever homes,” said Animal Services Manager Kara Montiel.

All Guardian Angel sponsored adoptions include the pet’s spay or neuter, kennel vaccinations, rabies vaccination, microchip and city license.
