San Marcos To Host Keep San Marcos Beautiful ‘Live On The Lawn’

The City of San Marcos will host the Keep San Marcos Beautiful (KSMB) Live on the Lawn concert series beginning Thursday, April 5, 2018, at 6:30 p.m. at the San Marcos Plaza Park stage.
The stage is located at the corner of CM Allen Parkway and Hopkins, 401 E. Hopkins.
Live on the Lawn kicks off with The Revs on April 5 and features a different band each Thursday of April.
The free concert series offers a variety of music as well as family-friendly activities in the Sustainability Area, which focuses on educating people and promoting awareness of the city’s unique beauty and resources.
“Keep San Marcos Beautiful strives to make fun ways to teach the community about sustainability and all the resources San Marcos has to offer,” said Amy Kirwin, Community Enhancement Initiatives Manager. “It’s important for people to understand the fragile ecosystem we have in San Marcos.”
Pre-concert activities begin at 6:30 p.m., with the bands taking the stage around 7:30 p.m. In case of severe weather, the spring concert series will be moved to The Marc, 120 E. San Antonio Street. Free public, on-street parking is available within walking distance of the concert, as well as at City Park.
Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to relax on and enjoy this free event. Alcohol is allowed for those who are 21 and up; adults are reminded to drink responsibly. Park rules prohibit smoking, Styrofoam and glass.

- April 19: Those Nights
- April 26: Big Cedar Fever
The Revs: From soul and blues to rock and pop, The Revs are a band that everyone can jam to. The local San Marcos band consists of six talented band members who can cover a wide variety of songs from the 50’s all the way through the 90’s. With their motto of, “Whatever it takes to Rev up your night,” The Revs are sure to put on a fun show!
The Georges: Beginning in 2008, this rockabilly band has been making people dance their socks off for almost a decade. With two albums and a third on the way, The Georges are a must see group that will make you want to get up and get moving. Regulars of Gruene Hall, The Georges are a popular Central Texas band with a loyal following.
Those Nights: Covering almost every genre, Those Nights is a band that can do just about everything. With their harmonizing vocals and hip-hop flavor, the band will put on a show that will leave the audience entranced. Those Nights has showcased their talents at South by SouthWest, Pecan Street Festival and even San Marcos’s own Mr. Fest.
Big Cedar Fever: This trio formed in January, but don’t let short time together fool you. Harmonizing and individual instrumental solos are just the start of what this string swing band has to offer. Be ready to be swept away by Big Cedar Fever!
