San Marcos Wraps Up Storm Debris Removal

Community Services is continuing to look for the most expeditious options for the removal and disposal of vegetative debris throughout the City.

KDF Enterprises, the city’s contractor for storm debris removal in the wake of  Hurricane Harvey, is finishing its work in San Marcos. Residents who still have storm debris are urged to take advantage of the service.

The contractor was hired to remove fallen limbs, trees and other plant material blown down on residents’ property.

Residents are asked to place debris on the curb making sure it does not impede traffic. Debris removal personnel cannot go onto private land to pick up debris; it must be accessible from the road. Debris should not be placed on or near utility boxes, mailboxes or storm drainage areas. If you have neighbors with debris that needs to be picked up, please help them get it to the curb.

Lumber, household and demolition debris and household hazardous waste are not being picked up curbside by the contractor.
