San Marcos Citizens Fire Academy Honors Seventh Graduating Class

Fall 2018 Class are open for registration.

Graduates from the 2017 class of the San Marcos Fire Department’s Citizens Fire Academy accepted their diplomas during the academy’s graduation ceremony on Nov. 6. 

Citizens Fire Academy is a challenging 12-week public education program that introduces its cadets to the operations and some of the rigorous training that the San Marcos firefighters undergo. The course also gives them an opportunity to become certified in CPR and automated external defibrillator (AED) use. 

City employee graduates were:  Ryan Hartman, Vincent De Luna, Roxie Luna, Pina Rodriguez, and Robert Rodriguez.

Citizens Fire Academy graduates can become involved in the CFA Alumni Association, which assists the department in promoting public education on fire and life safety.
