Kyle Inventory Of Active Listings Jump In August

 

Four Rivers Association of REALTORS® releases real estate statistics for August 2016

 

August 12, 2016 – The Four Rivers Association of REALTORS® has recently released their market report for August 2016 and Kyle’s market is strong.  The median home price for the month of August was $195,000 steadily increasing by 8% YearOverYear.

The number of homes sold were up slightly by 4.7% from this time last year with 89 listings closing last month.  This biggest jump in August was experienced in the number of active listings hitting the market. Active listings in Kyle jumped 38% year-over-year to 138 listings in August 2016.

The available housing inventory* in Kyle increased by .5% over August 2015 at 1.9 months. The Texas A&M Real Estate Center says that anything below 6.5% is considered a seller’s market.  Kyle has the lowest amount of inventory in the entire region.

Homes in Kyle spent an average of 33 days on the market, 6 days more than August 2015.  This is a strong indicator that the market in Kyle is extremely active and fast-paced.
