Top Items To Watch On This Week’s San Marcos Planning & Zoning Meeting
The San Marcos Planning and Zoning Commission will be hearing three requests for CUP’s, a request to expand the Lindsey-Rogers Historic District and the Hopkins Street Historic District, adoption schedule for Code SMTX….
The commission will hold a public hearing and to consider a request by Diane Phalen for a Conditional Use Permit to allow an accessory dwelling unit in a Single-Family (SF-6) zoning district at 721 Burleson Street. (721 Burleson Street)
Cody’s Bistro & Lounge located at 690 Centerpoint Road, Suite 209, will be requesting a renewal of their Conditional Use Permit (CUP) to allow the sale of mixed beverages.
Additionally, Komal Latin Kitchen will be seeking a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for a variance to allow a restaurant serving alcohol less than 300 feet from a public school, but not less than 200 feet from the primary entrance to the school.
The commission will hold a public hearing to consider a request to expand the Lindsey-Rogers Historic District and the Hopkins Street Historic District (Historic District Expansion), and will receive a presentation and provide possible direction on the City’s long range planning efforts and adoption schedule for Code SMTX.
Note: The City of San Marcos Planning & Zoning Commission since January 1, 2017 and has had 20 meetings and have only released two sets of Meeting Minutes for public review.
