Traffic Alert: Water Valve Repair To Cause Detours Lamar, 38th Street Intersection In Austin
(AUSTIN) – The intersection of North Lamar and West 38th streets will cause traffic detours from Saturday, Jan. 6 to Sunday, Jan. 7 for water valve repair. Austin Water is repairing an aging 42-inch water valve in the 48-inch line that runs below Lamar. Water service to the area will not be interrupted, however residents can expect some traffic delays.
West bound traffic on W. 38th turning south on N. Lamar Blvd. will be detoured to Medical Parkway. Non-through traffic will be able to access business and homes on portions of both 38th and Lamar.
