everything they can to minimize disruptions.
I-35 CORRIDOR ROAD CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
SUNDAY 8/5 – SATURDAY 8/11
I-35 FROM STASSNEY LANE TO WILLIAM CANNON DRIVE
PROJECT OVERVIEW | The project will reconstruct the bridge structures at Stassney Lane and William Cannon Drive, as well as the frontage road bridge over Williamson Creek.
New U-turn bridges will be added in both directions at Stassney Lane and William Cannon Drive, and the I-35 mainlanes will be widened to incorporate shoulders and extended entrance/exit lanes to allow for better merging.
Bicycle and pedestrian enhancements are also being made, and new safety lighting is being installed.

Closures are weather permitting
- Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed between William Cannon Dr. and Nelms Dr. | Beginning Monday, June 11 through the end of August 2018, weather permitting
- Various northbound I-35 frontage road closures between Slaughter Ln. and E. St. Elmo Dr. Expect ramps to close as needed. | 9 PM until 5 AM Sunday, August 5 through Tuesday, August 7
- Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane between William Cannon Dr. exit ramp and Nelms Dr. | 10 PM until 5 AM Sunday, August 5 through Thursday, August 9
- Southbound I-35 left lane closed between Little Texas Ln. and William Cannon Dr. entrance ramp. | 11 PM until 6 AM Sunday, August 5 through Thursday, August 9
- Northbound I-35 right lane closed at Slaughter Ln. entrance ramp. The ramp will also close. | 9 PM Monday, August 6 to 5 AM Tuesday, August 7

I-35 AT OLTORF ST.
PROJECT OVERVIEW | Improvements include the reconstruction of the Oltorf Street bridge, improving entrance/exit ramps and frontage roads, constructing new extended entrance/exit lanes for mainlanes and ramps, and adding U-turns in both directions at Oltorf Street.
Bicycle and pedestrian enhancements will also be made along the I-35 frontage roads in each direction within the project limits.

- Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed between Oltorf St. and Woodland Ave. exit. | 8 PM until 5 AM Sunday, August 5 through Thursday, August 9
- Watch for flaggers southbound I-35 frontage road between Oltorf St. and Woodward St. | 8 AM until 5 PM Monday, August 6 through Friday, August 10
- Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed between SH 71 and Woodward St. | 9 AM until 3 PM Monday, August 6 through Friday, August 10

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LN. TO US 290 EAST
PROJECT OVERVIEW | This project includes main-lanes and frontage road reconstruction and the addition of three new flyovers at US 183.
The project also includes reconstruction of the St. Johns Avenue Bridge, the addition of frontage road U-turns on both sides, intersection bypass lanes under St. Johns Avenue in both directions, extended entrance/exit lanes, and ramp and shoulder improvements.

- Powell Ln. closed at I-35. Detour via Wonsley Dr. | 9 PM until 5:30 AM through August 30
- Northbound I-35 right lane closed between Park Plaza Dr. and Rundberg Ln. | 9 PM until 5 AM Sunday, August 5 through Thursday, August 9
- Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed between US 183 and Rundberg Ln. The Rundberg Ln. exit ramp and following entrance ramp will also close. | 9 PM until 5 AM Sunday, August 5 through Thursday, August 9
- I-35 left lane closed in each direction between US 290 E. and US 183. | 9 PM until 5 AM Sunday, August 5 through Thursday, August 9
- Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed between Blackson Ave. and St. Johns Ave. | 9 AM until 3 PM Monday, August 6

I-35 AT FM 3406
PROJECT OVERVIEW | The intersection of FM 3406 and the I-35 frontage roads are being improved, and the FM 3406 bridge over I-35 is being reconstructed.
The FM 3406 (Old Settlers Blvd) bridge will close to eastbound traffic. Westbound traffic will detour to the newly constructed U-turn Bridge. | Until summer 2018, weather permitting.

Closures are weather permitting
- I-35 reduced to one lane in each direction at FM 3406. Northbound closure is Monday night only. | 9 PM until 5 AM Sunday, August 5 through Thursday, August 9
- Expect closures northbound I-35 between Gattis School Rd. and RM 620. | 8 AM until 3 PM Monday, August 6 through Friday August 10

I-35 MAINTENANCE PROJECTS

I–35 FROM US 79 TO SH 45 NORTH
PROJECT OVERVIEW | New braided ramps (where one ramp crosses over the other) are being constructed along the northbound I-35 mainlanes between Hester’s Crossing and RM 620 to eliminate merging conflicts.
The northbound and southbound intersections of US 79 and the I-35 frontage roads are also being reconstructed to add a third left-turn for westbound US 79.

- Expect closures on McNeil Rd under I-35. | 8 PM Monday, August 6 to 5 AM Tuesday, August 7

I-35 AT 51ST STREET
PROJECT OVERVIEW | Work includes adding a southbound intersection bypass lane to allow through-traffic to bypass the traffic signal, reconfiguring the entrance/exit ramps, and realigning the southbound frontage road to add a new roundabout that improves traffic flow and safety.
Bicycle and pedestrian enhancements will also be made within the project limits.
