Weekly Road Construction Projects affecting San Marcos traffic March 12 – 18, 2017

UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD CROSSINGS: On March 12 – 19 from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. daily, Union Pacific will perform railroad crossing repairs/ maintenance for Centerpoint Rd., W. McCarty Ln., Patton St., S. Guadalupe St., S. LBJ Dr. and C.M. Allen Parkway. Locations will be closed for various hours with detour traffic control devices and signage present. UPRR/Advanced Workzone Services, 918.682.9393

LP 82/AQUARENA SPRINGS: TxDOT introduced a new traffic signal at the intersection of Post/Bobcat Feb. 15. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction and then detour to the new signal for approximately 45 days. TxDOT, 512.393.8130

ALLEN ST: Mill and asphalt overlay will begin on Allen St. from Earle to Clyde St. and Clyde St. from Bishop to Allen St. on March 7 – 31 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., daily, weather permitting. City of San Marcos Streets Dept., 512.393.8025

202 E. SAN ANTONIO ST: All lanes in both directions, in front of Sean Patrick’s will be closed for a St. Patrick’s Day event on March 17 from 10 a.m. – 2 a.m. Brian Jeffrey, 512.947.8100

WEST WOODS ST: Portions of West Woods Street will be under construction with alternating lane closures and one way through traffic on Monday March 13 – 20. Flaggers will be present. Vehicles will still be able to access Woods Street Garage and the Alkek Parking Garage during this phase of construction. TS, 512.245.2202

106 CHARLES AUSTIN DRIVE: The east bound lane will be closed for a water tie in project on March 13 – 19 from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. WPM Construction Services, 512.689.5220

OSCAR SMITH/RR 12: Oscar Smith Ave. will be closed in both directions from Blanco to Moore St. for the replacement of sewer service to the main line on Wednesday March 15 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. North bound traffic will be detoured to Holland from Moore, Read and Academy St. Traffic going south bound will be detoured to Moore from Holland, Academy and Read Street. 600 BLOCK MCARTHUR/GUADALUPE ST: One lane will be closed for installing utilities from McArthur to Guadalupe St. on March 13 – 31 from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. daily, weather permitting. Rockin Q Construction, 512.738.6666

IH 35/YARRINGTON SOUTH: The inside and outside lane of north bound frontage road south of Yarrington will be intermittently closed for widening the road at the new north bound ramp, #302 on March 6 – 10 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. One lane will remain open for smooth traffic flow. TxDOT, 512.587.8895

IH 35/YARRINGTON NORTH: The inside lane of north bound frontage road north of Yarrington will be intermittently closed for road maintenance at the new north bound ramp, #206 on March 6 – 10 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. One lane will remain open for smooth traffic flow. TxDOT, 512.587.8895

RR 12/CRADDOCK: On south bound RR 12 to Craddock, maintenance work will commence for new water main construction on March 1 – April 27 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily, weather permitting. South bound traffic will be re-routed to center turn lane. KIVA, 512.295.8900

100 BLK E. SAN ANTONIO: The alley located between The Marc and Allstate Insurance will be closed for tour bus parking from 6 a.m. on Thursday, March 9 to 6 a.m. on Friday, March 10. Omar Dawoud, 512.787.3771

EAST SAN ANTONIO STREET: Every Saturday from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.  Half a block of street closed from the alley to N. LBJ for the Farmers Market on the Square. Main Street Program, 512.393.8430

Long Term Road Projects:

N LBJ: From Holland St. to Camaro Way will be closed to through traffic until the summer of 2017. Road closure will occur during daytime construction hours. City contractor will be replacing utility lines in the area. Through traffic including Emergency Vehicles, will be routed around the project limits; please follow the detours. VISTA ST.: All lanes in both directions will be closed from 310 – 312 Vista Street for utility construction until July 31, 2018. Texas State University, 512.245.2202
