UPD Reports Gas Leak Behind Outdoor Recreation Center

The Texas State University Police Department is asking people to evacuate the area near the Jowers Center and the University Event Center until further notice.
The department reported a gas leak located behind the outdoor recreation center in Sewell Park.
Officials are asking everyone to move north toward Charles Austin Drive and to expect traffic delays at Charles Austin and Aquarena Springs Drive.
UPD said the San Marcos Fire Department is on the scene with them. CenterPoint Energy is in the process of addressing the problem.
