183 South scheduled road construction, closures, detours for week of November 15

Austin — Short and long-term lane, road closures, and detours that may impact drivers along US 183 and adjacent roadways in east Austin.

Below is an overview of the 183 South project’s lane, road, and ramp closures. Work continues along US 183, including bridge construction, roadway installation, sound wall work, utility work.

The Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority is an independent government agency created in 2002 to improve the transportation system in Williamson and Travis counties.

The Mobility Authority is overseen by a seven-member Board of Directors. The Governor appoints the Chairman, and the Travis and Williamson counties Commissioners Courts each appoint three members to serve on the Board.

SHORT TERM

SHOULDER CLOSURE — 11/15/21 to 11/20/21 — SIGN INSTALLATION
Monday-Saturday (11/15-11/20) 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Mobile Ops: shoulders on southbound 183 Toll/US 183 between US 290 and SH 71 in both directions will be closed.

LANE CLOSURE — 11/15/21 to 11/20/21 — SIGN INSTALLATION
Monday-Saturday (11/15-11/20) 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mobile Ops: shoulders on northbound 183 Toll/US 183 between US 290 and SH 71 in both directions will be closed.

LANE CLOSURE — 11/15/21 to 11/17/21 — LANDSCAPING
Monday-Wednesday (11/15-11/17) 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., 183 Toll/US 183 left lane will be closed in both directions between US 290 and Techni Center Dr.

LANE CLOSURE — 11/15/21 to 11/19/21 — GUARDRAIL WORK
Monday-Friday (11/15-11/19) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., US 183 right general-purpose lane in both directions will be closed between Interchange Blvd. and MLK Blvd.

LANE CLOSURE — 11/15/21 to 11/19/21 — GUARDRAIL WORK
Monday-Friday (11/15-11/19) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., US 183 right general-purpose lane in both direction swill be closed between Patton Ave. and Montopolis Dr.

LANE CLOSURE — 11/15/21 to 11/18/21 — PAVING
Monday-Wednesday (11/15-11/17) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., US 183 general-purpose will be reduced to one lane in both directions between Central Ave. and Loyola.

LANE CLOSURE — 11/15/21 to 11/18/21 — PAVING
Monday-Wednesday (11/15-11/17) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., US 183 general-purpose will be reduced to one lane in both directions between Central Ave. and Interchange Blvd.

LANE CLOSURE — 11/15/21 to 11/17/21 — PAVING
Monday-Tuesday (11/15-11/16) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., MLK Blvd. in both directions will be reduced to one lane at US 183.

RAMP CLOSURE — 11/15/21 to 11/17/21 — PAVING
Monday-Tuesday (11/15-11/16) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., southbound 183 Toll exit ramp at Bolm Rd. will be closed. Detour via southbound US 183 mainlane exit to Montopolis Dr. and use Montopolis U-turn.

LANE CLOSURE — 11/15/21 to 11/18/21 — PAVING
Monday-Wednesday (11/15-11/17) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., 183 Toll/US 183 will be reduced to one lane in both directions between Central Ave. and Loyola.

LANE CLOSURE — 11/15/21 to 11/18/21 — GUARDRAIL WORK
Monday-Wednesday (11/15-11/17) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., 183 Toll/US 183 will be reduced to one lane in both directions between Central Ave. and Interchange Blvd.

LANE CLOSURE — 11/16/21 to 11/18/21 — LANDSCAPING
Tuesday-Thursday (11/16-11/18) 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., 183 Toll/US 183 left lane will be closed in both directions between Interchange Blvd. and Techni Center Dr.

LONG TERM

ROAD CLOSURE — 9/17/21 to 12/5/21 — BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION
CONTINUOUS CLOSURE: Wednesday, 9/1 at 6 p.m. to Sunday, 12/5 at 6 p.m., Eastbound 7th St. will be closed at US 183. Detour to Airport Blvd. southbound entry ramp via Levander Loop.
