Wimberley Man Picked Up On Two Arrest Warrants, Turned Over To ICE
It was determined that two warrants had been issued in 2014 and 2015 for the arrest of Avendano – Ramirez for the charges of Driving without a Driver’s License and Violate Promise to Appear, both Class C misdemeanors.
On January 30, 2018, at approximately 4:52 am, the Kyle Police Department stopped a vehicle driven by Victor Alejandro Avendano-Ramirez for a traffic violation in the City of Kyle.
It was determined that two warrants had been issued in 2014 and 2015 for the arrest of Avendano-Ramirez for the charges of Driving without a Driver’s License and Violate Promise to Appear, both Class C misdemeanors.
The Kyle officer arrested and transported Avendano-Ramirez where he was booked in the Hays County Jail.
During the booking process, Avendano-Ramirez self -admitted that he was not a US citizen and was born in Mexico. Following sheriff’s office procedures, Immigration Custom Enforcement (ICE) was notified, and they placed a detainer on Avendano-Ramirez.
ICE arrived today at 11:11 am when they took custody of Avendano-Ramirez and transported him to Austin for processing.
