Celebrate Spring With Farmer Fred’s Garden Spring Carnival

Spring is here and it is time to celebrate at the annual Farmer Fred’s Garden Spring Carnival.

The City of San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department encourages community members and visitors of all ages to join them on Thursday, April 13 from 6-9 p.m. at San Marcos Plaza Park, located at 206 N C M Allen Parkway.

This beloved community tradition is free to the public thanks to the support of generous sponsors and volunteers.

Featuring carnival games, a variety of activities, and the highly anticipated egg hunt, the Spring Carnival is fun for all.

There will be pictures with the bunny for $3, along with train rides and concessions for a small price.

The final Live on the Lawn concert, featuring The Revs, will be held in conjunction with the Spring Carnival.

The egg hunt is divided into age groups as follows:

  • 1-3 years old – 6:15 p.m.
  • 4-5 years old – 6:45 p.m.
  • 6-9 years old – 7:15 p.m.
  • 10-12 years old – 7:45 p.m.

At this time, volunteers are still needed to help run the carnival booths. If you, your organization, or your business are interested in staffing a booth, please call 512-393-8249 or email cmarler@sanmarcostx.gov to sign up.
