Public Meeting for Citizen Input on CDBG Documents

The City of San Marcos will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, May 10 at 5:30 p.m. at the Activity Center, 501 E. Hopkins Street, to gather citizen input regarding changes to the 2015 – 2019 Consolidated Plan Amendment No. 1, and an Update to the Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice document.

Both documents require changes and additions due to the award from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery Grant of $25,080,000 funds for recovery from the 2015 floods that impacted San Marcos.

Public Hearing & Comment Period for CBDG Documents

The City of San Marcos City Council will hold a public hearing for each document June 6, 2017 at 5:30 p.m., 630 E. Hopkins to consider approving the changes and additions to the documents.

The 2015 – 2019 Consolidated Plan in the form of an Amendment No. 1 and an Update to the Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice document will be available for citizen review/comment beginning June 7, 2017 at 8 a.m. through July 7, 2017 at 5 p.m.

Copies of the documents will be available at the San Marcos Public Library, City Hall, and the Development Services – Planning office on the second floor of the Municipal Building located at 630 E. Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas.

Comments must be made in writing and should include the sender’s full name and physical address. Comments may be sent electronically to sbrown@sanmarcostx.gov or to City of San Marcos, Attention: Stacy Brown, 630 E. Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas, 78666.

All comments received during the comment period will be included in the appropriate document.
