Mexican Delegation To Tour The Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training And STAR Park
The City of Monterrey Mexico and the university will then sign a memorandum of understanding to foster future training and research cooperation, followed by a tour of STAR Park that afternoon.
SAN MARCOS – Texas State University will host a delegation from Monterrey, Mexico, September 28, for tours of the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) Center and Science, Technology, and Advanced Research (STAR) Park.
The Monterrey delegation will be composed of Mayor Adrian de la Garza, Chief of Staff Rafael Ramos de la Garza, Economic Development Secretary Monica Lucia Zozaya and Police Commissioner Esteban Cantu.
During the ALERRT Center tour in the morning, the delegation will be presented cutting-edge research on public safety conducted by Texas State that can help the city of Monterrey strengthen its public safety system. There will also be a demonstration of ALERRT’s active shooter training.
The city and university will then sign a memorandum of understanding to foster future training and research cooperation, followed by a tour of STAR Park that afternoon.
During the STAR Park tour, advanced research and economic development issues will be discussed.
