Storm Sewer Installation Will Close Street between LBJ And Guadalupe

University Drive Drainage Project to Begin on Monday
The 100 block of University Drive will be closed to traffic beginning Monday, Oct. 19 while City contractors begin the installation of new storm sewer inlets on University Drive and Guadalupe Street.
Westbound traffic will be detoured north to Concho then south to University. Eastbound traffic will be detoured south to Hutchison then north to University for the duration of the project. Construction is anticipated to be complete in 30 days, weather permitting.
Jordan Foster Construction of Pflugerville will construct six curb inlets along University, two along Guadalupe Street, and will install 700 feet of storm sewer line. The new drainage elements will collect the stormwater runoff from areas northwest of University Drive.
The $746,000 project was approved by City Council on Oct. 6, 2015.
