The Zumper Austin Metro Area Report analyzed active listings in October 2020 across 8 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest-growing rents.

The Texas one-bedroom median rent was $946 last month.

The Most Expensive

Austin was the most expensive city with one-bedrooms priced at $1,280.

Cedar Park saw rent grow 2.6% to $1,200 and rank as the second priciest.

Georgetown was third with rent at $1,160.

The Least Expensive

 San Marcos ranked as the most affordable city with one-bedrooms priced at $930.

Round Rock was second with rent at $1,050.

Pflugerville saw rent grow 0.9% to $1,070 and rank as the third least expensive.

The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)

  Georgetown had the fastest-growing rent, up 7.4% since this time last year.

  Cedar Park saw rent climb 7.1%, making it second.

  Kyle was third with rent increasing 5.8%.
