SMPD Seeks Help Identifying Suspects In Sunday Theft

The San Marcos Police Department is seeking help to identify two suspects in the theft of a large amount of electrical wiring from Lowe’s in San Marcos.

On Sunday, Sept. 13, a white/Male suspect allegedly stole the wire with the assistance of a white/female suspect.

The male suspect is described to have “obvious” tattoos on his left arm including the “anarchy” symbol and two lightning bolts.

The male suspect also has multiple tattoos on his left calf including a skull. The suspect had an ankle monitor on his left ankle, commonly used by Probation and Parole departments.

During the commission of this theft, the female suspect was in the process of dying her hair darker. Both suspects left the scene in a gray 4-door passenger vehicle.

If residents have any information about this theft please contact Sergeant Jackson at 512-754-2217 or PJackson@sanmarcostx.gov.

Update: Many comments are asking about the ankle monitor. SMPD does not install ankle monitors or monitor ankle monitors.

SMPD previously sent a notification to multiple parole and probation officers throughout the region in an attempt to identify this suspect.

SMPD is still awaiting identification from someone in probation or parole. It is possible this suspect is not from San Marcos and may have traveled here to commit this crime. The likelihood of this is certainly increased, given our location on the IH 35 corridor.
