Kyle and Buda Police Seek Suspects In Armed Robbery

Kyle, TX – Three males wearing ski masks walked into the Golden Chick restaurant located at 830 Rebel Drive last night at about 9:25 p.m. According to Kyle Police, employees at the restaurant said the men entered the establishment armed with handguns and demanded cash from the business. The suspects fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.
Kyle Police Chief Jeff Barnett said no customers were in the business at the time of the robbery and no injuries were reported.
“Officers conducted a search of the immediate area,” Barnett said. “We also received assistance from the K9 Unit of the Hays County Sheriff’s Office. At this time, no suspects have been located.”
Kyle detectives collected evidence and interviewed witnesses. They are continuing their efforts today.
Hays County Sheriffs are also looking for suspects; those from an attempted robbery. At about 8:15 p.m. on Nov. 17, a vehicle driver and a passenger reported being pulled over in Buda by a dark car with “police type” lights on the dashboard. The passenger noticed the persons approaching the car were wearing ski masks and carrying handguns. The driver was able to flee the scene and the actors did not attempt to follow or chase the car.
 
The vehicle is described as:
Dark-colored passenger car equipped with lights in the front windshield area, two on the
driver’s side and two on the passenger side.
 
The two suspects are described as:
6’0” to 6’2” tall, slim build both armed with a black handgun
#1 wearing a silver hooded sweatshirt-type jacket with a black ski mask
#2 wearing a white hooded sweatshirt-type jacket with a black ski mask
 
Hays County Sheriff’s Office asks the public to remain safe, vigilant and aware of their surroundings at all times. If you feel that an emergency vehicle attempting to stop you is suspicious, immediately dial 911 and explain the situation. They will be able to verify the identity of an officer. It is also recommended that you pull over in well-lit, public area to ensure everyone’s safety.
