San Marcos Seeks Comments On Five-Year HUD Plan

The City of San Marcos is seeking comments on the 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan draft, which is required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) grants.

This draft Plan includes feedback from recent general public outreach and will be available for citizen review and comment from Sunday, Mar. 15 through Tuesday, Apr. 14.

The City receives approximately $700,000 in CDBG funds each year from HUD. The Consolidated Plan is the planning document that guides the use of these funds for the next five years.

It establishes the priority needs for CDBG funding and provides an analysis of local CDBG efforts.

Copies of the Consolidated Plan will be available during business hours at the San Marcos Public Library (625 E. Hopkins St.), City Hall Lobby (630 E. Hopkins St.), and the San Marcos Activity Center (501 E. Hopkins St.).

A copy of the Consolidated Plan will also be placed on the City’s website at www.sanmarcostx.gov/CDBG.

Comments must be made in writing and should include the sender’s full name and physical address. Comments may be sent electronically to CDBG@sanmarcostx.gov or by mail:
