San Marcos City Council, P&Z To Hold Joint Session Thursday Evening

The proposed Lindsey Hill project includes apartments, for-sale condos, retail, restaurant, office, parking garage, and open space uses.

The San Marcos City Council and Planning & Zoning Commission will hold a joint session on Thursday, Sept. 13 at 5:30 p.m. in room 3 of the San Marcos Activity Center, 501 E. Hopkins, to receive a presentation from the developers of the proposed Lindsey Hill project at 500 W. Hutchison Street.

This meeting is an opportunity for the City Council and Planning & Zoning Commission to receive a presentation from the applicant of the Lindsey Hill PDD and ask any questions they may have.

City Staff will not be presenting during this workshop but will be available to answer any questions asked. The press and public are invited to attend.

In 2015, Guadalupe RE, LCC requested a Zoning Change at 500 W. Hutchison Street from Public and Institutional “P” Zoning to Planned Development District “PDD” with a base zoning classification of Mixed Use “MU.”

In addition, the applicant has submitted a Preferred Scenario Amendment (PSA) Application to change the property from an “Area of Stability – Existing Neighborhood” designation to a “Growth Area – High Intensity” designation on the City’s Preferred Scenario Map. These requests were submitted to facilitate the Mixed Use Development referred to as “Lindsey Hill.”

The proposed Lindsey Hill project includes apartments, for-sale condos, retail, restaurant, office, parking garage, and open space uses.  All submitted applications are currently in review and have not been scheduled for consideration by Planning & Zoning or City Council.
