PEC Reports Phone Scam
Pedernales Electric Cooperative members have reported phone calls threatening service disconnection and instructing them to call a phone number with area code 866.
If members call the number as directed, they may hear an automated phone directory similar to PEC’s.
This is a scam: PEC will never call and threaten immediate disconnection. If members receive a questionable call, they may contact PEC immediately at 1-888-554-4732.
