UPDATED: APD Seeking Assistance In Possible Kidnapping Case

Austin PD located the stolen vehicle yesterday evening in the 8600 block of N Lamar Blvd. The vehicle was unoccupied. Detectives are continuing to investigate this case and ask anyone with information about the incident to call 911.

The APD Missing Persons Unit is investigating a possible kidnapping that occurred yesterday, June 12, 2019 at approximately 4:16 p.m. at 1747 Rutland Drive.
Witnesses described seeing a Hispanic male force a Hispanic female into the vehicle pictured below. The truck left the scene at a high rate of speed. It was last seen traveling westbound on Rutland.
The truck is described as:
- 2007 dark blue Toyota Tacoma
- TX License Plate KLG8587
- Quad Cab, black bed cover
- Left rear wheel rim does not match the others
- Truck was stolen on 6/11/19 from 8545 N Lamar (case #19-1621728)
The Hispanic male suspect is estimated to be in his 20’s.
The victim is described as:
- Young Hispanic female
- Long dark hair
- Last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black pants with white stripes down the legs and white shoes
