Austin Police Announce 2019 Republic Of Texas Biker Rally No Refusal Initiative
The Austin Police Department will be conducting a No Refusal Initiative this weekend during the Republic of Texas Biker Rally (June 13 thru June 16). This initiative will be operational from 10 PM – 5 AM each night.
There will be an abundance of motorcycle riders in town to enjoy Austin and the rally, so please be vigilant and keep an eye out for them. This initiative is an effort to enforce DWI laws, keep the public safe by encouraging drivers to make responsible decisions and to apply for blood search warrants on suspects who refuse to provide a breath or blood specimen as required by law.
