Austin To Host Annual Career Expo April 17

The City of Austin is hosting its ninth annual Career Expo on April 17. This year’s theme, Keep Austin Hired, is intended to help the event build a stronger community by providing opportunities for Austin area residents to find jobs.

The free event will be from 10 AM to 3 PM at Palmer Events Center, 900 Barton Springs Road. Participants will have opportunities to meet face-to-face with company representatives from public agencies, as well as private employers, and temporary staffing agencies.

Attendees are encouraged to bring copies of their resume. Free parking will be available in the Palmer Events Center garage.

More than 100 employers are expected to register, including private employers, state agencies, higher education, technical schools, temporary agencies, many smaller businesses with skilled labor and customer service job openings, and City of Austin departments. Pre-registration for attendees and a complete list of employers is available at austintexas.gov/careerexpo.
