Gary Job Corps joined 125 Job Corps centers across the country to celebrate the 8th Annual “National Job Corps Commencement Day” ceremony August 23, 2018, to congratulate the Job Corps students who showed Job Corps Works! by completing the program this year.

Recent Job Corps graduates employed in Texas, employer partners, local policymakers, community leaders, family members and many others recognized these students’ achievements and the investment they made in their futures and community.

“I have been impressed by the professionalism displayed by the students and graduates of the Gary Job Corps Center.  They have been always been eager and willing to assist in the community with any projects from helping during times of emergency, fundraising for the numerous non-profits, adopting local schools, pet shelters, nursing homes, and self-help projects in Central Texas,” said Jason Mock, President San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce, the keynote speaker at Gary Job Corps’ ceremony.
