Morrow’s Go Wheels Up! Texas is a high-energy, family-friendly celebration of music, automobiles, airplanes and Texas cuisine being held Friday, May 3 thru Sunday, May 5.

The three-hour airshow, beginning Saturday morning, features Red Bull Air Race world champion Kirby Chambliss and the Red Bull Air Force wingsuit jumpers. Acrobatics and performances are scheduled throughout the weekend.

Aircrafts on display include P-51 Mustangs, B-17 Bombers, a MIG Jet, and dozens of classic warbirds.  Throughout the weekend, attendees will be able to fly state-of-the-art flight simulators, and limited airplane and helicopter rides will be available.

According to the City of San Marcos, at the car show, onlookers can see 200 examples of automotive engineering, from classic American muscle to exotic Italian street machines. A rally course and parade route will allow attendees to see and hear the works of art in motion.

The event will feature numerous activities for children, and fantastic food that highlights local vendors and stalwart Texas culinary traditions will be featured throughout the weekend.

The weekend’s musical performers include Texas musical icon Cory Morrow, with an all-star cast including rock-legend Bret Michaels, Kevin Fowler, Dale Watson, Radney Foster, Drew Womack, Terri Hendrix & Lloyd Maines.  The Sunday Morning Gospel Brunch is led by Josh Weathers, and Cinco de Mayo headliners Los Texmaniacs wrap up the entertainment on Sunday afternoon.

Go Wheels Up! is poised to become a central Texas tradition for years to come. A portion of the weekend’s proceeds will benefit the Greater San Marcos Youth Council, The San Marcos Education Foundation, Own Your Own Universe and the Commemorative Air Force.

Message boards are positioned on IH-35 and Highway 21 to let drivers know to expect delays Friday and Saturday during the event.
