San Marcos Discovery Center To Offer Fall Workshop Series

The City of San Marcos is hosting a free nature and conservation workshop series from Sept. 14 to Nov. 20 at the San Marcos Discovery Center, 430 Riverside Drive.

Workshop topics include Korean Natural Farming, Rain Gardens, Monarchs, Recycling, and many others. Each workshop is collectively designed and taught by Parks and Recreation staff.

“These workshops are important for San Marcos because they help people connect with nature,” said Discovery Center Attendant and workshop organizer Conrad Chappell. “More and more research studies are showing that when we practice connecting with nature, our cities and our perspectives begin to reflect positive, sustainable change.”
