Gary Job Corps Foundation Instructor Receives Doctoral Degree, Security Cadet Saves Driving Instructor

Job Corps is a no-cost education and career technical training program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor that helps young people ages 16 to 24 improve the quality of their lives through career technical and academic training.

GJCC Instructor Receives His Doctoral Degree

Dr. JaVaski “JD” McDonald, one of the Foundation Instructor at the Gary Job Corps Center, just received his doctoral degree from Concordia University in Educational Leadership. 

JD is from Austin, TX and besides being an educator for over 10 years he is a U.S. Army veteran.  JD has always had a desire for helping and serving his community.

He aspires to help students achieve their goals academically and in life. JD earned his Bachelor’s degree from Huston-Tilloston University in Business and then went on to get his Master’s degree from West Texas A&M University in Instructional Design & Technology. Congratulations Dr. McDonald!
